Cells: The Universe Inside Us is an interactive 4,000 sq ft exhibition that opened at the Maryland Science Center in March 2008 which includes a variety of hands on exhibits and a multi-sensory, immersive cell environment. Cells: The Universe Inside Us demonstrates new ways to make cutting-edge information on cell biology accessible and engaging to the public. The Maryland Science Center has partnered with Dance Exchange in this groundbreaking exhibition, exploring ways to combine movement and spoken words to visualize cell processes and better understand current issues in medical research. Through a variety of videotaped sequences, dancers interpret the words of scientists and engage visitors in moving their own bodies to explore the microscopic world and connect cutting edge biology to our lives.
